a variable is anything that can vary among participate in a study

whatever is being manipulated in the experiment

Whatever is being measured in the experiment

it is dependent on the independent variable

it is a statement of the specific methods used to measure a variable

The sample must be representative of the population you want to study

  • Stratified Sampling 
It allows the researcher to ensure that a sample represent the population on some creatia

  • Experimental Method  
Looking to prove causal relationship
Cause = Effect

  • Experimental Group 
Group receiving or reacting to the independent variable in an experiment

  • Hawthorne effect 
Just the facts that you know are in an experiment can cause change
